Job Description:

ERM is looking for an experienced and responsible Tax Manager to join our global tax team.  The candidate will be responsible for the corporate tax matters of the Group. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage US federal, state and local corporate tax compliance

  • Quarterly review of tax accounts to ensure proper recording of estimates/ extension payments

  • Liaise with state and local tax authorities to resolve tax notices/ payments related queries and reconciling tax account balances

  • Prepare and file FBARs and similar tax forms

  • Prepare annual tax budgets

  • Prepare tax provision

  • Assist with Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Assist with ad hoc tax planning and compliance projects

  • Review contracts/ proposals from a tax perspective and advise on tax implications and contract structuring options

  • Liaise with external advisors

  • Identify, implement and manage tax process improvements

  • Partner with finance teams to ensure that tax compliance is completed efficiently and tax governance process and controls are adopted

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited institution with a focus in accounting, finance or similar.  (MST or CPA preferred).

  • Minimum 5-7 years of US federal and state corporate tax experience in public accounting and/ or in a multinational corporation.

  • Must be based in Central Standard Time or Eastern Standard Time.

  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and US corporate tax returns

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Possess a high level of attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Professional interpersonal relationship skills

  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks

  • Organizational and project management skills

  • International tax experience viewed favorably
