Currently we have an opportunity for a Civil QA/QC specialist

Summary:
The Civil QA/QC specialist demonstrates substantial knowledge of processes, codes, and job specifications and can perform routine QA/QC product inspections as required. The QA/QC Inspector shall be knowledgeable in QA/QC equipment operations and associated documentation of inspections and testing.

Use of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate departmental requirements and objectives as well as communicate requirements across departments.
Ensures products meet and/or exceed standards and specifications.
Assists Inspection Supervisor and QA/QC personnel as needed.
Report results of inspections, both in written form or through use of computer (Microsoft Office Programs)
Works at a pace sufficient to obtain quality and quantity of inspection/testing, consistent with operational requirements.
Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple, basic correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Sufficient education, training, and experience to ensure qualification in inspection methods being used.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Excellent conflict resolution skills.
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Education / Experience:

Other Duties:

Minimum 3 years manufacturing or field experience.
Understanding of Civil concepts, concrete, rebar, forms, and painting and industrial coating applications.
Demonstrated ability to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple, basic correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Sufficient education, training, and experience to ensure qualification in inspection methods being used.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral directions

Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2 ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
