E-Commerce Web Specialist at Best Buy

Job Description:

The E-Commerce Specialist will support the Category Lead and the E-Commerce Analyst in delivering the category online strategy and objectives. This role is responsible for online SKU merchandising processes throughout the online product lifecycle; tracking and timely delivery of new SKUs to meet required multi-channel launch dates (including content, specs, attributes, etc.). Also is responsible for ensuring relevant accessories and services are merchandised with core products within category.

Their responsibilities will support the delivery of online revenues and profit budgets by identifying customer pain points through customer comments, NPS Insights and Purchaser and Non-Purchaser feedback. The E-Commerce Specialist identifies SKU related issues and then collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize, troubleshoot, and deliver the best E-Commerce customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for quarterly and annual delivery of E-Commerce business objectives within assigned categories across all E-Commerce customer views.

  • Drive Category Conversion, Revenue, Profit, and positive NPS through SKU display accuracy, slotting, accessory and services attach.

  • Has an understanding of E-Commerce competitive set and industry best practices to ensure Best Buy has a clear view into strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats.

  • Understands E-Commerce organic metrics and customer engagement data.

  • Supports Category Product & Promotional Experiences on BestBuy.com.

  • Support key product launches, specifically SKU availability, attach capabilities, and SKU detail page optimization to drive business results. Responsible for tracking and timely delivery of new SKUs to meet required launch dates (includes content, specs, attributes, etc.).

  • Tracks and monitors online customer comments and creates/implements action plans in response.

  • Responsible for bundle and combo set-up and reporting to support online attach strategies.

  • Collaborates with Digital Experience team to create online promotional experiences online.

  • Support of Digital Merchandising across entire Category Assortment.

  • Partner with Category Business Groups (Merchant Analyst) and Enterprise Product Management team to understand assortment and priorities as it relates to SKU setup and merchandising.

  • Ensures accurate product slotting and attributes to ensure most ideal customer experience within assigned category pages.

  • Support vendor specific sponsored content and experience development (demo videos, attach accessories, etc.) to ensure it appears properly online.

  • Drive Category Online Strategy and support of Business Group Strategy on BestBuy.com

  • Understands Category Business Group strategy and E-Commerce strategy.

  • Support Online Category and Business Group Strategy by ensuring accurate and timely SKU slotting, attach, and demos across all views of BestBuy.com.


This individual will be the primary point of contact for cross-functional partners including category Business Group (Merchant Analyst), Demand Planning, Enterprise Product Management, Marketing, Digital Experience, and Digital Channel Management teams to execute customer focused initiatives.

An ideal candidate would have 6+ months of E-Commerce, retail, and/or industry experience in buying, inventory planning, merchandising or online marketing/web analytics. Someone who goes beyond the day to day responsibilities of the role and has a genuine curiosity to learn and grow.
