The Reverse Supply Chain Analyst will join the Primary Channels team responsible for building and managing vendor returns programs. The Primary Channels team works closely with vendors and merchandising teams to strategically manage Best Buys reverse supply chain to minimize expense and resell and reuse customer returns.
Role Summary: The Reverse Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for preparing analysis, executing processes and utilizing business tools to support Reverse Supply Chain and business team outcomes. Develop and execute SKU level analysis comprising of sales, supply chain, return/exchange, channel performance, pricing and vendor agreement data. The Analyst utilizes available data to determine trends and changes in the data to drive key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Reporting, Analysis and Decision Support
Manage weekly/monthly Reverse Supply Chain reporting rhythms and tracking towards key business forecasts/budgets
Provide value-add analysis to drive decision making and disposition for reverse logistics flows across the network including (but not limited to) Trade-in, warehouse, stores, Secondary Markets, Return to Vendor and recommerce channels
Drive improvement in retail and business team performance and behaviors by delivering valuable information to leadership
2. Process and Business Rhythm Execution
Perform all required tasks and processes in support of business rhythms
Support and lead all deliverables and ensure timelines are agreed upon and met
3. Cross-functional communication and partnerships
Develop network of critical internal partners to effectively meet performance expectations within role
Prepare and deliver effective communications to all levels of the organization
4. Forecasting and Planning
Engage in forecasting rhythms such as monthly versioning, budgeting, and performance management
Consider seasonality, product launch, promotions, product life cycle, drive times, reserve rate impacts and other factors that impact recovery/margin and/or labor utilization
5. Process and Operations Improvement
Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvement within existing processes, rhythms and tasks
Ensure compliance to all technical, operational or service requirements
Minimum Requirements:
2 + years of experience in Retail, Inventory, Merchandising, Supply Chain or related area
Preferred Experience:
Understanding of Supply Chain practices and principles and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas
A strong financial acumen and ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex problems
The ability to influence without authority, developed communication and diplomacy skills used to direct/persuade/influence others
