Job Description

GPI Geospatial is seeking an Accounting Assistant to update records including setting up billing terms, invoicing clients, A/P entries, and Cash receipts in our Charlotte, NC Office.

  • Working in accounting software, VantagePoint, to set up billing terms, generate monthly invoices, A/P, and sub-consultant bill entries, and running reports

  • Knowledge of Excel is needed to update client invoices and invoicing requests

  • Ability to communicate with clients, outside vendors, and internal project managers


  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an AR Clerk, AP Clerk, or Biller

  • Familiarity with basic accounting procedures

  • Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software (Deltek VantagePoint a plus)

  • Hands-on experience in Excel spreadsheets

  • Aptitude for numbers

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • High School diploma required; Associates degree preferred



  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language

  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails, and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
