Job Description:

The Office of the Dean-Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences is seeking a qualified Coordinator of Graduate Student Services in an administrative/professional capacity. The incumbent will serve as the initial point of contact for all inquiries governing FERPA, Disability Services, Medical and Mental health actions. The Coordinator will advise and make independent recommendations in accordance with the University, School, and departmental policy. The Coordinator will secure and define new and different solutions to enhance the outcomes for graduate students. The incumbent must be able to synthesize complex information and apply it to new situations while following University policy and procedures for sensitive and complicated circumstances. The individual will be the primary Dietrich School liaison for the University Catalog, University Graduate Guide, Departmental Graduate Handbook, and the Dietrich School Graduate Studies website. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring conformity of publications with University, School, and departmental policies. He/she helps to develop content for and maintain the website. The Coordinator will provide professional support to the Director of Admissions for multiple projects within Student Services. The incumbent will be responsible for all correspondence, tracking, evaluating, and reporting on each project. The incumbent supports the Associate Dean, Assistant Dean, and Project Manager in developing, organizing, and scheduling professional development and career diversity programming. This position requires an individual with an initiative to lead projects and build relationships with faculty, staff, and graduate students across the University. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Meticulous organizational skills and the ability to handle matters expediently with high levels of accuracy are critical. The ability to work well with others with very confidential information and to problem solve and provide recommendations for action is essential in this position.Three years experience at the administrative level. Knowledge of University Policy and Procedures, campus, Dietrich School Graduate Studies Policies and Procedures. Excellent computer software and analytical skills are essential. Excellent organizational, written communication, interpersonal, analytical reasoning, and problem solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, work autonomously, under pressure and prioritize. Critical thinking skills.
