Job Summary

Under functional guidance, responsible for leading a team of Private Bankers providing financial expertise on products and services to high net worth clients. Work closely with sales and relationship management leaders in other business lines to facilitate the development of new relationships as well as provide Associated wide financial solutions to existing clients. Assist in building deposits, fee income, and overall asset growth. This will be accomplished by acting as a portal across Associated bringing together the right resources, providing convenience to clients, and providing organization wide solutions to clients. May not be the ultimate relationship manager to the customer, but will be responsible for the timely and efficient transfer to that resource that can best serve the customer. Responsible for expanding and deepening customer relationships by identifying customers' needs comprehensively and matching their needs with selections and resources within the colleague's assigned business line and across all business lines of Associated. This position requires a credit check per 12 CFR Chapter X, Part 1026, Truth in Lending, Regulation Z.

Job Accountabilities


  • Lead by example while driving team for results and inspiring teammates to serve their clients while effectively surfacing and closing new business opportunities.

  • Direct the activities of the Private Banking business development function in a manner that mirrors the business plan of the company.

  • Identify and refer business to Consumer Banking, Wealth Management, Mortgage Banking and other business partners as appropriate. Responsible for cross-selling all bank products and services.

  • Strategic Thought leader for Wealth Management – As a senior leader within Wealth Management, participate in the strategic planning process for the business line. Play an integral role in surfacing new ideas for products, services and business development.

  • Risk Management and Credit Administration – Provide risk oversight for the team’s credit and client banking activities. This includes fostering a culture of compliance within the team and providing counsel relative to day to day credit portfolio and account management issues.

  • Initiate new business opportunities for the bank through the development of new Centers of Influence business contacts and maintenance of existing client relationship to ensure sales and revenue growth.

  • Operate in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws. Must submit required information to meet registry requirements, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain the registration requirements as directed by the S.A.F.E Act.

  • Responsible for asset growth through personal contacts, as well as referrals from other bank resources. Provide guidance to and work with bank resources in an effort to strengthen current customer relationships by providing a high level knowledge of bank products and services to support overall business sales processes.

  • Develop sales strategies and partner with other business line leaders to initiate business opportunities with high net worth customers.

  • Provide financial advice and counsel to clients and prospective clients regarding trends and conditions of the business environment and general banking trends though bank approved sources.

  • Participate in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank within the region’s marketplace. Establish referral contacts within the community.

  • Project Management – Participate in ad hoc projects related to the business where achieving defined results requires the leadership, time management and analytic capabilities to produce a successful outcome.

Education


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Business, Finance, Accounting Required

Experience


  • 7-10 years Direct experience in banking, commercial lending, financial planning, and/or investments. Proven ability to garner assets in a banking environment. Extensive experience dealing with unique financial needs of the high net worth customer. Extensive knowledge of all banking products. Extensive credit skills. Extensive business development experience. Formal credit training, project management, and risk management experience preferred. Required

  • 2-4 years Commercial Lending experience Required

Licenses and Certifications


  • CFP-Certified Financial Planner by start date, Preferred

  • CTFA-Certified Trust and Financial Advisor by start date, Preferred

  • Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive self, if applicable. , Required

  • CWS-Certified Wealth Strategist , Required
