A Day in the Life
As the Materials and Supply Planning Manager you will be part of the Plant Operations team leading the overall supply chain strategy, materials and build planning, materials issues resolution and SIOP coordination for the Plymouth NL site. You will provide leadership to the supply planning team and provide indirect leadership through participation in IBP and SIOP.

Additionally, you will work closely with external partners - sourcing, logistics, indirect materials, demand planning and transportation. Successful outcomes include shorter lead times, mix attainment, increased visibility, predictability, and reduced variability within the operations supply chain. The benefits of such improvements lead to superior service, reduced inventory, improved competitive position, and freed resources that can be reinvested back into the business. You will:

  • Drive plant level implementation of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE)
  • Manage the Plant Master Production Schedule process and communicate risks to the organization
  • Optimize inventory and strive for continuous improvement across the supply chain
  • Build and maintain a high performing organization (staffing, training, coaching, motivating).
  • Ability to successfully influence and manage all levels of the organization.
  • Creates and executes supply chain and sourcing strategies at the manufacturing site which support growth, customer satisfaction, product cost management and forecast accuracy.
  • Engage with Marketing and Logistics to support Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Deliver operational results for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, initiate and support projects in pursuit of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPIs.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years in Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing or Logistics including 2+ years in managing staff
  • Ability to lead, energize and influence change efforts at all levels of a complex organization.
  • Purchasing, Planning and inventory management experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and transportation in a highly regulated industry
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to interface and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent understanding of data analytic and statistical tools, capable of explaining the underlying concepts and principles.
  • Experience in MRP and ERP systems including BPCS, SAP, AGILE
  • Demonstrated use of Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Hands-on experience implementing projects and new initiatives.
  • Track record of delivering results with a passion to win.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent decision-making skills, considering all relevant factors and stakeholders.
  • Experience establishing key performance indicators
  • APICS certification
