The Graphic Designer is responsible for providing high-level graphic design primarily for both print and digital initiatives for the Arizona Biltmore including, but not limited to: ads, menus, signage, emails, seasonal campaigns and branded retail. This position will work closely with the marketing specialist and director of marketing to execute all creative projects at the Arizona Biltmore.
What will I be doing?
As a Designer, you would be responsible for the delivery and coordination of design and design standards initiatives in the company's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Understand, manage and steward the brand guidelines for the Arizona Biltmore, Renata's Hearth and Tierra Luna Spa. Ensure that all creative projects (from design to layout to execution) match brand standards. Update brand guidelines as needed.
Work with the marketing specialist to manage process for creative requests. Intake requestes, update job tracking sheet daily, save files appropriately, track print specs. Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Take creative requests from project to finished concept. Study creative briefs; concetualize visuals; preopare rough drafts and present ideas; develop illustrations, logos and designs using softward; collaborate with copy writer; test grapics across appropriate media; amend designs after feedback; send to printer and/or traffic appropriately; ensure final desisgs on on brand.
Regularly meet with and collaborate with team members from other departments. Understand their needs and find effective solutions for them
Understand the consumer journey and work collaboratively with the marketing team and across departments to create a cohesive experience - from seeing an ad, to visiting the wbsite to checking in at the front desk to entering the room. Participate in marketing team brainstorming sessions and offer ideas for new collateral and marketing campaigns.
Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
