HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR TEAM:
Supervises QC personnel and day-to-day quality issues of components, assemblies, and finished goods. A Quality Assurance Supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations for the inspection operations. Oversees inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established standards.
Supports products in the semiconductor and physical vapor deposition industries. Works closely with customers and internal/external suppliers on quality improvement initiatives under ISO-9000 and continuous improvement objectives.
Negotiates, trains and communicates quality standards with suppliers, customers, and engineers on a routine basis. Requires moderate domestic travel. Must have a results-oriented management style that is coupled with a mentoring/positive reinforcement style. Strong emphasis is placed on communication skills, both written and verbal, and organizational skills. Frequently interacts with world class companies. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to the Quality Manager.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Develops and documents Potential Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (PFMEA).
Develops and implements Measurement Systems Analysis for applicable piece parts and higher-level assemblies.
Develops and documents First Article Inspection Process (FAI) for products falling under the quality programs noted above.
Investigates and follows through on requests for supplier corrective action as directed by our customers.
Initiates, investigates, and follows through on internal and external corrective actions and preventative actions (CAPA).
Supervises QC and/or inspection personnel. Includes scheduling workload, employee development, and training.
Participates in the evaluation and qualification process of potential new suppliers.
Trains suppliers in customer specific requirements and other quality, safety, 6S/Lean technologies that are established as quality initiatives for continuous improvement.
Prepares reports for internal and external part/product failures with corrective actions and root-cause analysis.
Contributes to Monthly Quality Data Collection, Review and Reporting.
Completes data analysis and reports as required to establish milestones, goals and actions to achieve them.
Oversees the calibration system to assure it is in compliance.
Performs both internal and supplier audits as required to meet internal, ISO and customer requirements.
Supports activities required to maintain ISO certification.
Works to improve efficiency of inspection and strives to reduce the cost of quality.
Ensures that quality results are properly collected, reported and retained.
Works with purchasing to develop dock-to-stock criteria for suppliers.
Participates in the Material Review Board to disposition material, follow up with actions and report aging and other pertinent results.
Must be familiar with statistical tools to review and analyze data, works with Engineering and Manufacturing in developing corrective actions.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Must be skilled in performing internal and external audits.
Must be skilled in writing detailed work instructions - SOP's.
