If you are an experienced Embedded Machinist looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you based in Longview, TX! This role will be responsible for the precision machining of parts for repair or production utilizing machining tools. This position will be the intellectual property custodian for the ASP.
AS EMBEDDED MACHINIST YOU WILL:
Selects and configures all set-ups on tooling and machine.
Able to run all machines in the shop efficiently and/or possesses the capability.
Must understand materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
Uses shop math through trigonometry.
Machines parts one at a time, but with production techniques.
Machines from prints and can make from samples.
Re-machine parts to repair them and still maintain critical dimensions.
Responsible for personal safety and those around them.
Maintains excellent housekeeping standards following 5S + 1 principals.
Support Impact Partner ASP team with Flow Controls technical information centric to Final Control product repairs
Re-machine parts to repair them and still maintain critical dimensions (4 Jaw Chuck knowledge needed)
Perform minor repairs to trim parts (e.g. plug seats, seat rings, polish stems)
Perform re-machine of bodies / bonnets needing weld repaired
Support other machining needs beyond Flow Controls / Emerson products as needed by Impact Partner
Support Impact Partner on time quotes to make repairs
Comply with Emerson’s safety program
Evaluate part condition for repair or replace
WHO YOU ARE:
You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations, effectively communicate in various settings, and stayed productive and aligned with your goals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5 years machining experience.
High School Diploma or equivalency (G.E.D.)
Preferred Licensed Journeyperson.
Knowledge/Experience in the following equipment:
Horizontal and Vertical Turret Lathe.
Bridgeport type milling machine.
Horizontal boring mill.
Overhead crane operation.
