If you are a sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Located in our Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC markets! As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, support, and execution of Greenlee-branded programs within Lowe’s, and other retail accounts. This role will also support the RIDGID brand in smaller retail channels. In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders across multiple functions to develop and deploy business plans with your accounts. You will join a collaborative team to help set the pace for growth and service for your assigned categories. Our ideal candidate is someone who strives to foster strong relationships, enhance consumer experiences, and turn data into insights to drive growth and profitability. AS A NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER, YOU WILL: 


  • Expand sales nationally (via promotional activity, merchandising initiatives, etc.) and meet the stated goals for Professional Tools.
  • Cultivate strong functional relationships with all levels of customer management to ensure that national programs, policies, and store plans are implemented effectively.
  • Consistently meet with the department merchant and field support teams to facilitate growth and seek opportunities.
  • Develop and communicate strategic and tactical plans to Lowe’s and the MST teams to ensure flawless execution of programs.
  • Extensively utilize Professional Tools and customer reporting systems to discover and document performance, and use the data to understand reasons for trend changes in sales/shipments.
  • Interact with all levels of MST merchandising teams to supply information, document, and resolve merchandising/set issues.
  • Forecast product need to meet POS demand and partner with internal departments and customer inventory departments to support customer needs.
  • Analyze and monitor the overall business.
  • Participate in any requested regional trainings/contractor events/trade shows, as required, to maximize Emerson brand exposure. May include a few weekend shows.
  • Provide market intelligence for internal departments and customers. This includes price shops, promotional space, cross-merchandising opportunities, and competitive activities.
  • Report to the director of retail sales.
  • Use interpersonal skills for dealing with all levels of the organization.
  • Solve problems by considering courses of action within the framework of management’s goals and standards.
  • Provide frequent status reports to management as to the status of initiatives and progress toward goals.
  • Position will require some travel, including overnight stays in the range of 20% to 35% of the time for customer visits, store visits, and visits to the corporate office in Ohio. May also include occasional weekend work at discretion of management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must pass the post-offer background check and drug test.
  • Availability for limited occasional weekend work provided sufficient advance notice.
  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is required.
  • Three plus (3+) years of working experience with home improvement retail or other related retail experience required.  Lowe’s experience a plus.
  • The incumbent needs to be computer literate and an effective communicator with both internal and external contacts, using a variety of communication tools.
  • Ability to travel 25%-30% of the time.
