Senior Enterprise Program Manager, SW Strategy and Transformation Team

What you’ll do:

In order to be the leading digital industrial software organization, we need to transform our processes, embrace agility and automation, become more customer focused, have common metrics across the organization, optimize our resource pool, attract new talent, and deliver a high performing empowered culture for our employees. This transformation will require a comprehensive strategy, key workstreams that are tracked and reported upon, and cultural enablers to take the organization to the next level.

As a leader in the software strategy and transformation team this role serves dual responsibilities to establish and develop an OKR program and drive strategic communications to operationalize the vision and mission of the software technology organization at Johnson Controls. This role will work closely with the Director of Software Strategy and Transformation. As the lead for the OKR program, you will work with stakeholders inside and outside of the technology organization; create, manage, and lead OKR trainings; act as a coach to teams and stakeholders; integrate OKRs into existing ways of working and agile practices; as well as communicate program status to stakeholders including senior leadership. The strategic communications aspect of the role will focus on enabling the vision and mission of our organization by creating content for strategic communications for internal stakeholders and audiences including Townhalls, Digital Product Reviews, and Quarterly Business Reviews; identifying key agenda topics to bring to the CTO’s staff meetings; and measuring organizational progress through KPIs and OKRs. The aim of this role is to bring radical clarity to the organization enabling the transition to an empowered culture.

What you’ll be accountable to:


  • Lead the development and execution of the OKR program at Johnson Controls to enable transparency across a global organization

  • Prepare strategic communications and agendas for the CTO to enable execution against the vision and mission

  • Work cross-functionally to establish partnerships with stakeholders and evangelize the OKR program including participation in our Agile Community of Practice

  • Create, manage, and lead OKR trainings as well as provide coaching to stakeholders

  • Create and formulate internal OKR coaching model that incorporates SMEs within business units

  • Identify and champion ways to integrate OKRs into existing ways of working and agile practices

  • Communicate the status of the OKR program to stakeholders including senior leadership

  • Enable organization health initiatives as well as the transition to an empowered culture organization

What you’ll need:


  • +2 years of strategic communication experience and interfacing with executives

  • +3 years of expertise, familiarity, and comfort with OKR implementation and program delivery

  • +5 years experience working in agile environments and software organizations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills: a consistent, openminded, and transparent style of working

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to ask the right questions in coaching teams

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems

  • Customercentric attitude and aptitude

  • Selfdriven, proactive problem solver with sound judgement

  • Desire and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
