Vice President, eCommerce Operations at Inmar, Inc.

Job Description:

As a member of the dedicated Inmar eCommerce team, the Vice President of eCommerce Operations will partner closely with Customer Success, Retail Transformation, Marketing, Customer Care, Product, Engineering, Finance and Implementation teams to execute and expand the Inmar eCommerce offering designed for leading retailers. The ideal candidate will function as a change agent and primary driver to create a high-performance eCommerce business through a deep understanding of the retailer’s digital needs and by defining a customized strategy for each retailer. 

This position requires an out-of-the-box strategic leader with the flexibility to operate in a fast paced, customer centric environment. You will be expected to develop and implement strategic business plans that drive the company’s eCommerce growth objectives.  You will lead the business operations for eCommerce globally and establish scalable business processes.  The candidate must possess a strong service orientation and data-driven decision-making skills.

Major Responsibilities:

Influence (50%)

  • Driving positioning of the eCommerce offering, promotions, pipeline & meetings leading to revenue growth.

  • Capture and communicate “Voice of Customer” and competitive information to product and marketing teams.

  • Define and create a scalable process of customer onboarding and implementation, capable of launching 10+ retail locations per day.

  • Responsible for new customer onboarding from Sales, enabling customer’s site and training – ideally through automation – and facilitate a smooth hand-off to Account Management/Customer Success teams upon launch. 

  • Leverage Marketing and Customer Success teams to develop customer acquisition and retention strategies

  • Develop business scorecard to track success metrics.

  • Build, coach and develop members of the eCommerce team.

  • Leads/Assists in the development and execution of the marketing strategic plan and functional goals.

  • Collaborate with the broader Inmar team to provide end-to-end services to retailers including but not limited to Programmatic Media, Incentives, Loyalty, and Payments.

  • Oversees the day-to-day eCommerce operations, maintenance, and performance measurement of customer websites.

  • Develops business plans and annual budget for eCommerce division, liaising with Finance and Legal.

  • Analyze data to uncover opportunities that will deliver key objectives that drive future growth. 

  • Maintain relationships with all buying influences within the client/prospect organization.

  • Develop strategies that grow the client’s top revenue and improve profitability.

  • Manage internal communications garnering support and getting appropriate buy-in.

  • Collaborate with client on product and service extensions that could deliver incremental value and bring Product Management into those discussions as necessary.​

Strategic (40%)

  • Responsible for understanding the strategic goals and objectives of each client and developing eCommerce strategies that align with Inmar’s clients’ objectives.

  • Responsible for providing new product/service ideas based on client needs and being an information source with regard to how Inmar’s eCommerce offerings can provide a competitive advantage.

  • Build and maintain internal networks, garnering support and getting appropriate buy-in.

  • Develop and maintain expertise on industry trends, technology, best practices, and competitive tracking

  • Obtain “expert” level understanding of Inmar product solutions with the ability to conduct demonstrations of eCommerce technology in all sales stages, including late stages of sales meetings

  • Ensure the client understands the value of the services available or being received to ensure a renewal with increased value to the company.

Administrative (10%) 

  • Manage the eCommerce business to meet and beat the 5-year forecast.

  • Manage travel expenses and budgets, in line with Inmar policies

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field.

  • 15+ years in leadership position in finance and/or operations in an eCommerce company, ideally providing white-labeled eCommerce services on a SaaS basis.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Proficient with Google Suite.

  • Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time as needed for client/prospect engagements.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is:  

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands or arms.

  • Regularly required to talk or hear and read instructions on a computer monitor and/or printed on paper.

  • Occasionally required to stand, kneel or stoop, and lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

  • Regularly required to view items at an extremely close range and must be able to adjust and readjust focus.
