Job Description

Control Manager - Chase Auto - Vice President

We are looking for an individual with strong partnering and collaborative skills who has the ability to manage multiple levels of responsibility. This Control Manager role will be focused on supporting the Chase Auto business, which is the #1 bank-owned Auto Lender (#2 overall) in the US. Chase Auto has four distinct business segments: captive finance for OEMs, indirect lending via dealers (retail indirect), direct lending on Chase.com, and dealer commercial services.

As a Control Manager you will have the opportunity to lead a key control function and assist with managing reporting activities, control initiatives and oversight processes. You will be responsible for assessing risk, reviewing results to identify potential issues, proposing effective solutions and escalating as appropriate. In addition, you will provide support and leadership for projects and initiatives that impact the Chase Auto business.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
  • Work closely with business leaders to identify, evaluate, and manage Operational risk on new initiatives and changes to existing products/services
  • Review and analyze program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) to proactively identify existing and emerging Operational risks and issues to support business-related programs and strategies
  • Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE), including control deficiencies and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk
  • Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years of experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
