JPMorgan's Corporate Sector encompasses more than $12B of annual operating expense and 35,000+ employees across the Enterprise Technology, Global Real Estate, Corporate Finance, Corporate HR, and HR business functions, among others.

The Corporate Sector Planning & Analysis (P&A) team supports and partners with Corporate Sector CFOs and their F&BM teams on financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting and other ad-hoc analysis and strategic priorities. The team also provides support for the Firm-wide P&A, Investor Relations, Regulatory Capital Management Office, Resolution & Recovery and other Corporate groups. The team consists of ~60 people, with locations in Jersey City, Plano, and Mumbai. The Corporate Functional Planning & Analysis (P&A) team is a centralized group supporting the Corporate function CFOs across the 30+ Corporate functions including Enterprise Technology, Global Real Estate, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Responsibility, Audit, Executive and other staff and corporate-aligned areas.

The Senior Planning and Analysis Associate is responsible for supporting the HR function and overseeing the forecasting and budgeting processes along with their business managements teams, the HR CFO, and LOB finance teams. The role will regularly interact with the business management groups in order to deliver accurate financial results and draw conclusions on key drivers and trends.


The Functional P&A Senior Associate will assist in various activities related to supporting the HR department, including:

  • Analyzing performance and forecasts for direct and indirect expenses for HR and its respective business units. This will require building effective relationships with all of the business unit teams to relay the HR storyline (Corporate and firmwide)
  • Preparing the weekly and monthly forecast tracker submission including clear, concise commentary covering variance analysis and key drivers
  • Partnering with business leads to understand risks and opportunities, trend analysis, future impacts and provide conclusions drawn from such
  • Assisting with reporting on Firmwide external HR expenses, working closely with HR business management team and Firmwide P&A
  • Collaborating with HR team to prepare accurate forecasts and budget templates for future years
  • Assisting in the consolidation of Corporate LOB results for use in management reports and presentations for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors
  • Reviewing and writing financial narrative for senior leadership meetings
  • Develop relationships with outside groups (Firmwide P&A, Investor Relations, Corporate Financial Reporting, etc.) to collect and provide information for use in presentations and reports


  • Strong technological aptitude, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Essbase skills. VBA/Macro and Tableau knowledge a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in business related discipline or equivalent experience required
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience desired, including at least 1-2 years in planning and analysis and/or budgeting and forecasting preferred
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Communication skills - Ability to write and articulate financial results succinctly and efficiently in varying degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
  • Organizational ability - Ability to handle numerous deliverables simultaneously, many with critical deadlines. Candidate must be comfortable with frequently adjusting priorities
  • Sound judgment and independent decision making are required
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize projects accordingly
