AML/ KYC Operations, Alternative Investments This role involves being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Anti Money Laundering/Know Your Customer (AML-KYC) within the Alternatives Investor Relations team. With primary responsibility to perform the timely and efficient review and update of both new and existing Investor Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) information and documentation, all with adherence to Regulatory and JPMorgan Group requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Investor Relations KYC/AML VP, the role will involve the following primary overarching duties:
Complete the review of Investor Application Forms & Investor AML/ KYC documentation
Assisting the Investor Relations team as the AML-KYC SME.
Identification of investors that may create money laundering or reputational risk to JP Morgan and our client.
Requesting appropriate CDD documentation from investors in a timely manner.
Application of the Company's AML policy and risk assessment.
Understanding of U.S. anti-money laundering laws (i) Bank Secrecy Act (ii) USA PATRIOT ACT.
Performance of periodic reviews ensuring investor information and documentation is kept up to date.
Managing AML projects and ensure accurate and timely completion.
Ongoing active participation in ensuring excellent client service provided to clients.
Such other AML/CTF duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Profile Requirements / Qualifications
3+ years AML / CTF experience desirable in the financial services industry with exposure to globally diverse investor base, preferably with direct Transfer Agency experience.
Strong analytical, organizational skills with operational and risk awareness mindset.
Working knowledge of AML, other financial crimes requirements and other applicable Regulatory developments.
Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
Ability to summarize complex topics concisely and drive practical outcomes.
Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to act on own initiative within team environment to proactively identify, own and progress tasks to be undertaken.
Ability to build strong working relationships with central and business aligned functions across the region and co-ordinate delivery across functions.
Display effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks for oneself.
