Job Description:

Responsible for the development and management of all critical support systems needed to operate the IT & Network server rooms across the United States.

Essential Job Duties:

  • To manage the facilities infrastructure including the engineering, construction, and project management resources involved in delivering all Mechanical, Electrical Plumbing (MEP) including supplements AC support systems
  • Responsible for data cabling infrastructure and design of IT rooms in support of network and communication equipment
  • Ensure Newmark standards and requirements are consistently met, with an emphasis on maximizing efficiency and value of the facility infrastructure investments
  • Evaluate critical support systems and identify and resolve problems, risks, and issues. Coordinate and plan for future requirements
  • Provide support to Newmark IT team for ongoing and future projects involving Newmark infrastructures, for example extension of circuits for upgrades of existing SD-Wan, data and phone network
  • Plan and implement the relocation of infrastructure equipment; coordinate power and cooling requirements with data network provider, network connections, project plan and schedule
  • Responsible for all activities related to UPS, including specs for new office equipment, management system, including but not limited to development, pricing, software install, upgrades, system monitoring, and coordination with Newmark IT
  • Responsible for all activities related to supplemental AC including but not limited to development, pricing, software installs, upgrades, system monitoring, and coordination with Newmark IT
  • Manage all aspects of the project delivery system to ensure on-time an on-budget completion including: funds authorization, design development, bid administration, contract negotiations and construction administration
  • Responsible for ensuring all project documentation is accurately and timely generated and maintained, and for managing the risk/liability of all contracts on behalf of Newmark
  • Manage vendor relations and contracts, including but not limited to competitive pricing research, bid administration, contract negotiations, and funds authorization and approvals.
  • Maintain all knowledge bases and technology platforms which support the lab related facilities infrastructure function
  • Responsible for developing and generating reports containing operating and financial metrics for the function and individual projects
  • Assist with new office build out projects as well as remodels and decommissions
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, Engineering, MEP preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 Years of experience in electrical, air conditioning preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, UPS and Electrical
  • Advanced knowledge in data cabling infrastructure and design of IT rooms in support of network and communication equipment
  • Very strong all-around infrastructure knowledge
  • Strong PC skills
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
  • A positive customer service orientation
  • Good oral and written communication skills necessary

Working Conditions: Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements; 25% travel
