The role of the Community Relations Representative is to help develop and oversee the Community Relations program at Stewart. Core responsibilities for this role include planning, developing and executing a robust strategic plan for community events and programs at the local and national levels, as well as overseeing the Stewart Title Foundation and subsequent programs to ensure timely execution and distribution of funds. The role will partner to communicate events, volunteer opportunities, programs and success stories to the Stewart employees and local communities, and will support both Internal and External Communications in telling the Stewart community story and enhancing the company’s reputation and image in the local and national markets.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Develop a local and national-focused Community Relations Program to promote the Stewart brand as a leader in philanthropy and volunteerism in our communities.

  • Develop detailed event project plans, including timelines, budgets and communications, for Stewart employees.

  • Manage the Stewart Title Foundation programs and budget.

  • Build relationships and serve as a liaison between Stewart and charitable organizations across multiple states where Stewart has a presence

  • Develop written content and seek opportunities to promote Stewart community efforts through social media, website, email, and other channels. Work with Communications and Marketing teams to develop promotional material and ensure consistency and reach of messages.

  • Mange the coordination, promotion, and execution of special events

  • Recruit, coordinate and manage volunteers and potential on-site activities, Support branch offices in local community service efforts

  • Communicate internally to Stewart employees across the enterprise. Work with Internal Communications team to develop monthly content calendars and promotion of upcoming events and programs.

  • Foster the development of a community between leaders and employees that cultivates relationships and increases trust and accountability

  • Enable and influence engagement among employees, which contributes to increased innovation and productivity

  • Contribute story ideas and content on a weekly basis for internal newsletter

  • Develop engagement plans to increase volunteerism and participation throughout field and home offices

  • Monitor metrics and provide monthly reports

  • Presentation development, editing support for mass comms efforts

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations or relevant field preferred

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience preferred

  • Related work experience in Community Relations, community involvement, or engagement programs required

  • Experience with non-profits preferred; existing relationships with local non-profits a plus

  • Writing and editing; knowledgeable in AP writing style preferred

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office – technical knowledge of SharePoint is desired

  • Strong understanding of social media communications and strategies

  • Program management, project, and event planning

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Ability to work independently and on deadlines

  • Creative, outside-of-the-box thinking, not afraid to take risks

  • Basic skills in Adobe Creative – Video and/or photo editing, videography, photography a plus

  • Media relations experience – press release writing, experience pitching reporters and building relationships a plus

  • Real estate industry experience a plus but not required
