Role Summary

Reporting to the Senior Business Operations Manager and working as a key member of the EDS initiative team, the Business Operations & Communications Advisor provides the strategic consultation and execution required to ensure the development and implementation of our EDS, EDO, and data domain strategies; ensuring that the proper operational controls, communications, and engagement actions are in place to effectively develop and meet strategic priorities.

To accomplish this, the Business Operations & Communications Advisor must possess the energy and creative drive to effectively manage a team of high performing professionals across multiple segments and functions, with both direct and indirect influence, while also being comfortable in an ambiguous environment.

The Business Operations & Communications Advisor will play a critical role helping to shape and guide the future growth and development of our data domain and EDO organizations; the role is a great opportunity for individuals looking to grow their understanding of Data and Analytics with significant potential for expanded responsibilities including direct management of teams.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Job Responsibilities


  • Team Operations and Communications : Work collaboratively with each team on key aspects of the day-to-day operating activities to drive execution against the most critical initiatives and represent value story to local Market and Functional partners; able to focus on areas of greatest impact.

  • Strategy, Planning and Execution : Works closely with cross-enterprise teams to ensure strategy development that will articulate the vision to achieve goals. Develop multi-year roadmap within their teams for specific actions needed to achieve goals across all areas of EDS&A. Monitor whether actions achieved intended goals and revise future strategy and plans.

  • Communications & Engagement Operations - Strategic planning and execution for data domain and EDO programs including Data Domain Steering Committees, regular team meetings, Town Halls, the EDS newsletter, domain postcards, and other needs.

  • Portfolio Communications - Contribution to LPM team and EDS leaders on communications focused on building the perceived portfolio value, reputation and visibility of the EDS initiative and its elements. Includes Value Stories and other Cigna/Evernorth opportunities. Led by SBOM with BOS input.

  • Knowledge Management & Operations - govern and lead the operations of internal knowledge management tools including IRIS, Confluence, and SharePoint.

  • Executive/Leadership/Management Communications - EDS&E leader-specific communications for special applications like internal presentations, external speaking engagements and publication opportunities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; advanced degree highly desirable.

  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in a similar role with specific experience in managing multiple aspects of the business operations.

  • Demonstrated results in being able to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into both a short-term and long-term organizational plan.

  • Experience in interviewing, communication with, and negotiating with senior executive

  • Strong visual storyteller, able to synthesize complex concepts/topics into effective PowerPoint presentations.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, PPT and SharePoint, ability to produce crisp, professional documents imperative.

  • Experience with Change Management preferred

  • Detail oriented, organized, consistently dependable, self-motivated, flexible, and highly driven individual.

  • Consultative mentality, set priorities and meet deadlines on multiple projects.

  • Experience developing communication plans and coordinating with matrix teams

This role is work at home / flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
