Garmin is an industry leader in providing cutting-edge avionics as well as game-changing aviation services through our web and mobile applications. We are looking for an aviation professional with industry and end-user experience to join our Aviation team as a Product Manager to drive vision and roadmaps of products and services. Desirable candidates will have an understanding of aviation-related technologies, competitive products and opportunities within general, business or commercial aviation.

Essential Functions:

• 
  

  Develop and maintain thorough market, customer and competitive analysis as inputs to the products and services design process 

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with Engineering, Sales and Marketing to develop roadmaps for product, feature and/or service offerings that satisfy the objectives of the segment business plan

  
  


• 
  

  Author vision-casting product concepts

  
  


• 
  

  Owns 'user stories' to help drive the ideal user experience for pilots and operators

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with product marketing on effective introduction of products, features and service offerings

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in trade shows and other key activities with customer and partner entities as required.

  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related engineering or marketing field AND a minimum of five years' work experience in a product development, marketing or analytics role


• Active participation in the aviation markets served


• Self-motiviated and demonstrates a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion


• Good written and oral communication skills to present data and product recommendations to engineering and marketing/sales management


• Demonstrates proficiency using MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)


• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail


• Ability to travel up to 20%

Desirable Qualifications:

• Pilots or candidates with aviation experience are highly preferred
