Arcosa Traffic Structures is seeking a Quality Inspector CWI Lead for our 2nd shift. In this role you will provide visual, measured inspections or tests of materials and/or products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if products meet all requirements. This position reports directly to the Quality Control Manager.
Location: Ft Pierce, Fl.
What you’ll do:
Inspect Incoming materials & assemblies, in-Process inspection throughout the manufacturing process and final
Proficiently utilizes inspection tools and measuring equipment
Performs inspection of finished product
Follow all safety rules and practices
Write and document inspections, and report non-conformances
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
High school diploma or equivalent required
4+ years of experience in quality in a manufacturing environment
4+ years of experience with one of the following: ISO 9001, AWS D1.1, ASME VIII, NACE preferred
Ability to plan & prioritize with minimal or no supervision. (self-starter)
Nationally accredited certifications or internal ATS certifications for, welding, coatings, and heavy assembly preferred
Certification in MT and VT inspection methods or ability to become certified
UT Certification Level II required
CWI Certification required
Analytical Thinking / Problem-Solving skills applied to product conformance
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Working Conditions:
Hourly full-time position
2nd Shift Hours 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Safety sensitive role
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
