Position Description:
AMETEK STC – a world leading innovator and manufacturer of sensors, test equipment and calibration instruments – is recruiting a Field Service Engineer based in the Horsham, PA area.

In this position, you will ensure that AMETEK products perform to the approved application of products and to our customers’ satisfaction. You’ll support AMETEK products via remote access, email and phone assistance and by travel to customer job sites to train, calibrate and troubleshoot the product line. You will be responsible for providing technical support to the customer service and sales departments, and to respond to any calls received through the online system.

Your specific duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.

• Travel to customer sites to resolve technical problems related to AMETEK equipment, installation, start-up and calibration systems, in accordance with service and warranty policies.
• Identify and suggest modifications where equipment is not optimized or operating properly.
• Effect adjustments or repairs, modify basic equipment and instruct customers in the operations of AMETEK equipment.
• Train new personnel within AMETEK as well as provide skillful customer service and representative service training.
• Maintain customer contact files, equipment failure analysis and other records as necessary.
• Maintain and provide resolutions to daily service tickets and contact customers for service issues
•Issue Return Material Authorizations. Evaluate and track customer returns. Effect repairs and/or coordinate replacement equipment as required.
• Interact with engineering, operations, and sales in the quality process with the intent to resolve long-term quality trends.
• Responsible for the handling and transportation of tools and equipment used during visits to customer job sites.

Position Requirements:
Minimum 5 years related experience supporting an Instrumentation manufacturer.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline or related field. Non-degreed individuals may fill this classification with substantial industry experience per the discretion of the hiring manager.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Individuals must have the ability to prepare, present and discuss project related plans, requirements, test results, etc. in a team-based work environment.
• Experienced user of computer applications including Oracle, MS office suite and cloud-based service systems (i.e., Salesforce)
• Must be able to travel up to 75%. Travel can be overnight and will include both international as well as domestic destinations.
• Physical requirements of this job include the ability to work on equipment at heights of 100 feet or more above ground. When required, must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds related to tools and equipment used in the field.
