The Senior Investment Only (IO) Content & RFP Specialist executes development and submission activities primarily for, but not limited to, Investment Only bid solicitations (i.e., Request for Proposals (RFP), RFIs, DDQs, etc.) regarding our proprietary investment offerings of collective investment trusts (CIT) and mutual funds (stable value, target date, etc.) in support of MissionSquare’s business acquisition and retention efforts. The Senior IO Content & RFP Specialist will also be responsible for the Investment Only content in the Qvidian database response repository, which includes writing, researching, and editing responses, as well as ensuring that all new content is captured and that all old content goes through timely review and refresh sessions with subject matter experts (SMEs) firm wide. Additionally, the Senior IO Content & RFP Specialist serves in the capacity of responding to investment related questions in RFPs for plan administration bids for Retirement Plans.


Under the direction of the Marketing Operations Senior Manager, Proposal Management, the Senior IO Content & RFP Specialist leads the response to the bid solicitations, monitors project plans; establishes and manages deliverables; collaborates with SMEs to fulfill bid requirements; tags correct SMEs in the document for question and data assignment; answers RFP and database questions, researches, writes, and edits content; reviews proposal responses; reviews all drafts to ensure all questions and individual data points are answered correctly; verifies proposal document compliance with bid specifications and MissionSquare business practices; conducts document production activities; and ensures on-time delivery of final compliant documents.


Essential Functions for this role include:



  • Lead Investment Only bid solicitations (Request for Proposals, RFIs, DDQs).

  • Review, and analyze RFP/database/bid solicitation documents.

  • Identify, assess, and communicate potential bid issues to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Research, write, edit, review, and manage proposal content.

  • Work collaboratively in a cross-divisional team environment, fostering relationships with Investments staff, subject matter experts, and Sales teams.

  • Conduct business and quality reviews of proposal documents and ensure conformity to all bid specifications.

  • Copyedit all documents.

  • Responsible for proposal production activities and submittal of assigned proposal projects.

  • Populate Qvidian database with all new investment content and collateral.

  • Ensure all content is compliant and completes regular review cycle.

  • Other duties as assigned.

If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:



  • 3+ years of experience writing or managing RFPs and/or mutual fund and CIT data requests, preferably within the financial services, investments, and/or retirement plan industry.

  • BA in English, Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related majors.

  • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to lead bids independently is a must.

  • Experience with Qvidian, RocketDocs, or any type of RFP Content Database preferred.

  • Basic Knowledge of investment management business

  • Ability to work collaboratively with in a cross-functional team environment

  • Experience effectively working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Demonstrated professional writing, proofreading, and editing skills

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office application

  • Proficient knowledge of MissionSquare products and services

  • Strong problem solving, process management, and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
