Job Description:

Position Summary

The Staffing and Resident Services Coordinator supports the Health Services departments by ensuring adequate staffing levels, credentials, and mandatory education for employees in compliance with state regulations. The Staffing and Resident Services Coordinator provides administrative support services and excellent customer service to residents and families.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepares, maintains, and updates an accurate master schedule for nursing staff.

2. Ensures all areas have adequate staffing levels per shift and responds to replacement for call outs and PTO days in accordance with policy.

3. Sets up orientation schedules for new hires.

4. Coordinates employee in-services and maintains records for CPR/First Aide, Fire Safety, Diabetic Training, Medication Training, Emergency Preparedness, Abuse Training, Dementia Training etc.

5. Maintains and update staff licensure. Maintains verifications from the state.

6. Coordinates annual flu shots for staff.

7. Responds to questions and concerns of residents and families and directs them to the appropriate person.

8. Maintains daily census for all areas.

9. Provides administrative support (mailings, forms, supply orders, work orders etc.)

10. Schedule and maintains care conference schedule for residents.

11. Coordinates and retrieves Resident Satisfaction Surveys.

12. Maintains proper notices per regulations

13. Responsible for meeting minutes

14. Maintains policy and procedure manuals, survey binder and emergency books and supplies.

15. Maintains resident photos on the common drive.

16. Ordering proper oxygen supplies and equipment for residents when needed.

17. Maintain first aid kits in the areas.

18. Arranges transportation for resident appointments.

19. Rotates coverage for breaks for front desk receptionist.

Conforms with the requirements of the compliance program by understanding and adhering to Chandler Halls Compliance Program and Policies as they appear in the Code of Conduct and other compliance policies. Annually acknowledges review of the Code of Conduct by signature, and annually participates in corporate compliance education. Adheres to the policies and procedures covering Privacy and Security in compliance withHIPAA regulations.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma plus 3-5 years’ experience in a health care setting in an administrative or staffing role. College Degree preferred.
