Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for a Finishing Tech to to clean, finish and debur products following Arthrex Manufacturing, Inc. processes and procedures to ensure superior quality is provided to our clients. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and fine motor skills. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position. This is an entry-level, 2nd-shift manufacturing position working four 10-hour days/week (3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.) on a rotating crew schedule. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™. 

Starting July 1st, Arthrex will increase its starting wage to $15.00 per hour. This position will start at $15.00 per hour plus an additional $1.50 shift differential for second shift. We are also offering a $750.00 retention bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings), which will be paid out to you after completing your first 90 days and are an employee in good standing. New opportunities are available as the manufacturing team is growing in Ave Maria, FL.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Consistently follows operating procedures

  • Consistently meeting the productivity and quality goals set

  • Able to perform different tasks / operation necessary to properly manufacture the product.

  • Able to determine the materials and tools required to perform the operation.

  • Properly encodes production activity and output in manufacturing software.

  • Consistently keys in accurate time in SAP to reflect true time spent on jobs

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Full working knowledge of mechanical equipment.  Good eye/hand dexterity.  Ability to be detail oriented.  Ability to Debur, tumble, sandblast, polish and finish metals

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Manual dexterity.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

 

Physical Demands:

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Vision Requirements:

Visual acuity necessary to do the job safely and effectively.
