Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Data Engineer/Analytics Intern from May 2022 - August 2022 at our corporate headquarters in Hiram, OH. Job Responsibilities

• Implement and deploy new data models and data processes.
• Perform data analysis to generate business insights.
• Build Reports using SAP reporting tools.
• Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership.
• Participate in daily reviews with development teams.
• Write code, data mapping, unit tests and integrate code with other software components.
• Support critical data processes running in production.
• Programming knowledge in Python, SQL or Java.
• All GLC interns are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience

• Current college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field
• Year in school: Junior/Senior
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Education and Experience

• Knowledge of database systems.
• Curious, self-driven, analytical, and excited to play with data.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and reporting skills
• Strong communication, presentation, and team skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently
