Role: Open Access Agreements Coordinator (m/f/d)

Locations: London, New York, Heidelberg, Berlin

The Open Access team is responsible for overall OA revenue, performance monitoring, business model migration & transformative agreements, policies & funder relations.  Working in close co-ordination with sales & publishing teams, our team supports all areas of Springer Nature’s Open Access ambitions and strategy. 

Reporting into the Head of Strategic Account Management, OA the role will support the business transition to open access through management and monitoring of institutional, consortia & society arrangements.

Core accountabilities for the role include:

Account Management & Customer Communication


  • Responding to client queries (commercial focus)

  • Keeping institutional, consortia & society arrangements records up to date (Master, C4C)

  • Keeping performance monitoring records and reports up to date (including all types of agreements)

  • Debt and potential debt monitoring and chasing (including liaising with finance, engagement managers, LM, editors, customer services to raise invoices)

  • Requesting top up invoices for institutional and society agreements


  • Monthly and quarterly activity reports for institutional and society agreements

  • Memberships Renewals

  • Responsible for Supporter Membership renewals and ensuring the annual renewal target is met

  • Stakeholder management and coordination

 

Stakeholder liaison


  • Ensure regular catch ups and build relationships with stakeholders

  • Providing commercial input on ongoing projects and developments

  • Coordinating and optimising activities and messaging as relates to different OA partnerships

  • Responding to internal queries (e.g. from Editorial, Engagement Managers, liaising with team members to respond to queries)

  • Liaising with OA Operations regarding set ups etc., reporting, changes to institutional, consortia & society arrangements

Additional responsibilities


  • Responding to other relevant and related activities and projects as required by the business

Role requirements

Essential


  • Educated to degree level (at least Bachelor Degree) or equivalent experience

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

  • A confident communicator with the ability to interact with colleagues and external stake holders at all levels through excellent spoken and written communication skills

  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative and self-motivation

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and react quickly to changing priorities

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Highly Computer literate including Microsoft packages

 

Desirable


  • Proven Account Management experience

  • Fluency in an additional language

  • A background in publishing
