The following position is open in Clermont, KY., - Value Added Packaging (VAP) Technologist

Ensuring the highest quality standards from "seed to sip" by driving process solutions for quality improvements. Develop innovative solutions for the "Value added Packaging" segment of the business. Leveraging Suntory Monozukuri values to partner with BSI stakeholders across the business. Create an environment of collaborative team spirit with Supply Chain and Global Quality through timely and effective communication and collaboration.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop packaging specifications for secondary packaging and premium items
  • Create pallet patterns and work instructions for VAP assembly
  • Attend VAP strategy meetings as well as team meetings
  • Point person for suppliers of the premium items, master data questions and Co-man for VAPs
  • Responsible for calling out quality and safety risks related to the any new VAP projects.
  • Drive process /continuous improvement with supply base to improve quality and cost performance
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of Packaging development, specification development, and packaging test methods.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, communicating with stake holders and vendors while working on multiple projects at the same time.
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, TOPS, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat software
• Knowledge of SAP a plus
• Must be able to travel approximately 5%
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Package Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
