The Director, Ad Sales Reporting & Analysis is responsible for general market and direct response ad sales revenue projections and analysis across all Scripps national networks. Directs the front-end evaluation of Ad Sales’ booked, working, pipeline business, inventory projections and other revenue projections and associated key metrics.  

What You Will Do:


  • Evaluate and update ad sales revenue projections for General Market and Direct Response for all entertainment and news networks. 


  • Work directly with Sales, Planning, Pricing & Planning, other operational teams and use WON to gain insight into sales channels performance and support and evaluate inventory management optimization across all brands.


  • Develop and produce KPI metrics / dashboard.  Conduct pricing / revenue analysis around KPIs (price, ratings, volume) to understand trends and variances


  • Partner with operations to support continuous improvement of processes and controls to support the businesses rapid growth. Identify and implement ways to further simplify, automate and standardize processes across areas.


  • Identify ways to improve and streamline existing reporting to provide better analytical tools for both Sales and Divisional Finance teams.


  • Partner directly with Divisional Finance to support all key financial forecast cycles (e.g. monthly forecast, annual budget, and Long Rang Plan)


  • Perform ad hoc analyses, providing insights into channel’s sales performance


  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Sales and supporting systems, including WON 


What You Will Bring:

Education & Experience/Certifications


  • Four-year degree in Business; MBA Preferred


  • 6+ years of progressive experience with inventory and / or sales planning experience and 3+ years of leading staff


  • Experience with Sales system (WON preferable)

  • Strong process thinker and analytical skills


  • Continuous improvement attitude, ability to seek-out and implement internal and external best practices


  • Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment


  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with senior management.


  • Accuracy and attention to detail and deadlines
