Job Description:

The CAO Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) Team is responsible for the overall data strategy, analytics, reporting, and governance across the firm's CAO functions. This function supports Global Supplier Services, Global Security & Investigations, Global Real Estate, Global Business Resiliency, Travel and Amenities Services. Our team's mission is to help our organization manage our data assets, and find the best solutions to surface insights from our data, in an effort to drive our groups business goals & initiatives, enhance analytics, and streamline reporting. In doing so, we look for improvements ranging from establishing quality data repositories to designing cutting edge analytic insights utilizing the latest data visualization and machine learning tools.

The CAO - Data Governance Team is responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose data required by Corporate Functions and Lines of Businesses, implementing and driving Data Governance and policy adherence to the Firmwide Data Risk Policy, Standards and Processes, and providing value-added data quality services to the Corporate Functions and LOBs we support.

We are seeking a Data Management Lead who will be part of a high performing team of data management professionals to support our expanding book of work related to firmwide and CAO driven data management and governance initiatives. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and results-oriented with experience implementing large data governance and/or data quality programs, managing people and handling multiple projects and priorities. The Data Management Lead will work alongside the CAO Data Governance Lead on a variety of Data Governance, Data Management and Data Analytics related activities. The individual will be expected to play a lead role on defining and implementing an overall data governance and data risk management program as well as be responsible for managing specific projects

Key Responsibilities may include:


  • Partner with CAO CDO leadership team and senior stakeholders to support the delivery of the following data management initiatives:

    • Lead Workstreams to develop detailed plans for CAO Data Risk Management / Governance programs covering multiple Data Stores and Data Risk stripes
    • Create Data Governance and Op Model artifacts, coordinating with key Control Management and Technology partners
    • Oversee Implementation Plans for Data Risk Management including training and communication of the new program's roles & responsibilities
    • Track compliance metrics and hold CAO execution teams accountable
    • Oversee and build foundational, robust and high-quality data classification metadata across CAO including Data Domain Management and Data Dictionary Development

  • Oversight of the CAO Data Quality program including:

    • Facilitate resolution and oversight of the book of data quality issues; ensure issues are clearly understood for prioritization and resolution and support roll-out of Data Owner strategy and Data Quality Governance program
    • Work with and support Data Owners across CAO; Record, respond, proactively identify, and remediate DQ issues
    • Manage Data Requests, Cleanup, and Preventative DQ Automation projects
    • Delivery of individual or a portfolio of data quality and analytics projects including directing activities, monitoring details, setting priorities and managing issues and risks, with escalation where appropriate
    • Data Quality Controls - Support Control Managers, Application Owners and Data Owners to ensure data integrity by identifying and documenting Data Controls and gaps, and overseeing implementation of business and technical data quality controls within CAO stores

  • Manage, develop and mentor a team of Data Management staff to deliver value-added business results and meet all deliverables as part of the CAO Data Governance function

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant industry knowledge
  • Worked in a Project Management, Business Analysis, Risk Management, Data Governance, Data Quality or Data Management role
  • 5+ years data acumen experience in data governance, process analysis/mapping, process improvement, business analysis, data analysis
  • Experience coordinating projects or processes across multiple teams/constituents
  • Experience managing a team and developing others through coaching and mentoring
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Advanced analytic and problem-solving skills, including business process and root cause analysis, solution identification
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills - with ability to influence
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to communicate business and technical concepts to both expert and novice audiences, and to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to run meetings across diverse functions, locations and businesses
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft desktop productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, SharePoint
  • Team player and collaborative mindset
  • High Emotional Intelligence
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
