Position Description:
AMETEK Precitech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of ultra precision machining solutions serving customers worldwide. The Staff Accountant opening is an entry level position for an individual who has completed their studies in Accounting and or Finance. This is a growth opportunity, where it is anticipated that the successful candidate will grow into a leadership or managerial position within a few years. Candidate should possess training or experience within a broad range of technical, day-to-day finance/accounting, and cost accounting responsibilities. Duties include: Involvement with accounts payable and receivables processing, revenue recognition and compliance, monthly close activities, cost accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, as well as involvement in annual audit and consolidation reporting. The candidate should have a BS Degree in Finance or Accounting

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process payments to vendors and associated credits.
• Verify goods received and reconcile against open requisitions.
• Participates in the month end close activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Prepare and evaluate balance sheet and income statement information, determining variances and trends and report to management.
• Evaluates existing accounting methods and processes to automate and streamline.
• Participate in month end reporting packages.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process.
• Coordinate month-end journal entries and reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Participate in annual physical inventory process and on-going cycle count program.
• Assist in Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing.
• Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger.
• Maintains effective internal controls to ensure protection of assets and an accurate reporting of financial position.
• Assist in the compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates strong understanding of GAAP.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Special projects and analysis as assigned.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

• Recent graduate with the interest to learn and mentor under a seasoned financial leader. We are seeking a team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.

Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of ERP Software
