We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer to work on high level project related work with our largest and most important customers.  This position will be responsible for consulting, designing and/or implementing complex, potentially multifaceted solutions.  A deep knowledge of layer 2/3 networking, authentication/authorization and/or 802.11 wireless technologies is a must as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills.  The more areas you are proficient in the better.  You will also be required to evaluate, assimilate, and come to a deep understanding of new technical concepts as you grow in your career at HPE/Aruba.

Responsibilities:

• Providing consulting and establishing a “Trusted Advisor” relationship on Aruba networking and security solutions, as well as technology solutions in general.


• Implementing and potentially troubleshooting Aruba networking and security solutions, and integrating with existing underlay legacy networking vendors.


• Writing supporting documentation for networking solutions, when required.


• Taking personal responsibility for your ongoing education and continuing to expand your areas of expertise within the Aruba product line and technologies.


• Become a “subject matter expert” on one or two primary areas of technology and be willing to assist your coworkers as needed.


• Working as part of a larger team on larger designs/implementations.


• May require some travel to customer sites as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  


• 6-10+ years’ experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must have deep understanding of one or more of the following areas of enterprise networking
  
  
  • Modern enterprise network design, implementation and troubleshooting, including DNS, DHCP, spanning tree, network access control technologies, including 802.1X, IGRP routing protocols and remote access technologies including IPSec and/or SSL VPN. 
  
  
  • WAN/Data Center Design including IGRP and EGRP Routing Protocols, Spine/Leaf topologies and virtualization technologies. 
  
  
  • 802.11 wireless solutions, including design, implementation and troubleshooting in all current industry protocols including 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11a, 802.11n, 802.11ac and 802.11ax. 
  
  
  • Security solutions, including IPSec, SSL/TLS, Public Key Infrastructure/Certificates, 802.1X, radius and LDAP directories, as well as how they are implemented in networking environments to meet the needs of the modern enterprise.
  
  
  • Vendor and/or industry certifications are a plus.
  
  
  
  


• Using, evaluating, and developing appropriate engineering design tools and software packages.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


• Must have demonstrated the ability to pick up additional skillsets outside of comfort zone


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships primarily with customer engineers but also across all levels of customer organizations up to the executive level.


• Must be willing to work as part of larger team when needed.
