Compensation: Monthly Salary $9718.86 - $15527.07

Job Summary:
Lead the long range planning for the structure and interaction of the enterprise's major types/sources of data, information needs, and business processes/strategy. Responsible for decisions/priorities regarding the overall enterprise's architecture. Translate business needs into architectural solutions (current and target state) and defining solutions to problems through application of information technology. Facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards/guidelines that direct integration of multiple platforms. Develop/document the framework for integration/implementation for changes to architectural standards. Determine architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability and security needs. Provide technical guidance to project team. Coach the development of Jr. IT architects.

Job Specific Information:
This position works closely with business and technical stakeholders at all levels of the FedEx Enterprise to translate FedEx business strategy and initiatives into actionable strategic roadmaps. The Enterprise Architect will work with Stakeholders and Architects to identify and define enterprise capabilities, build out a long-term roadmap, and create SAFe artifacts for the consumption of the teams to execute the initiatives with a business value driven approach. This will require understanding of the impact and influence of broader industry and technology trends on the strategic business vision to recommend action plans cross FedEx Operating Companies and to FedEx Leadership. This position works to develop an integrated view of the platform portfolio to enable better prioritization and investment decisions. The Enterprise Architect will combine business strategy with technical and application portfolio knowledge to deconstruct complex concepts into smaller, simplified components and capabilities. The Enterprise Architect will provide mentoring for the development of those in less senior positions.

• Application, Technical Architecture implementation patterns


• Knowledge of Business Architecture Guild (BIZBOK) and The Open Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or other architectural framework


• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and architecture practice experience


• Skills considered a plus: API management Cloud & reliability engineering REST & Async Messaging Security models and tooling Microsoft Azure data analytics platforms experience Decision/Data Science and Machine Learning Experience

Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Collierville, Tennessee (suburb of Memphis, Tennessee); Colorado Springs, Colorado; Lakeland, Florida ; Lakeland, Florida; Moon Township, Pennsylvania; Irving, Texas; or Plano (Dallas), Texas

Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.
