The Opportunity

Marvell's Infrastructure Processors Silicon, Packaging, and Systems Group is seeking an Signal Integrity Engineer. Infrastructure Processes works on the latest cutting-edge networking SOCs that enable the next generation of wired and wireless networks. This individual will be responsible for analyzing PCB and package substate designs using the latest software, including power delivery (AC and DC), high speed SERDES, and DDR interfaces. You will work closely with the SOC IC Design Team, PCB Design Team, and Package Design Team to gather design and specification requirements and make recommendations for design improvement after analysis. You will also work with the Customer Engineering Team to translate specifications and reference design analysis into customer PCB recommendations.

  • Understanding the requirements of the product

  • Execution of 2.5D and 3D analysis of power delivery networks and signal routing

  • Building customer usable system models for end user simulations

  • Making recommendations and improvements to physical designs at the die, package, and PCB level

  • Correlation of physical lab measurements to simulation models to drive continuous improvement

  • Understanding manufacturing variation and design constraints to analyze yield and product robustness

  • MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 5-10 years of previous experience in Signal/Power Integrity design, or related field

  • Familiarity with industry standard interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, and/or DDR)

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

  • In-depth knowledge of transmission lines, RF design, EM theory, and related disciplines

  • Excellent design and development experience

  • Experience with SI software such as HFSS, SIWave, Hyperlynx, Keysight ADS, Clarity, Sigrity, etc. a plus
