The Americas Credit Division (ACD) is responsible for reviewing and approving all credit-related applications in the Americas.
Summary
The Administration Associate position plays an essential role in the Planning and Administration Team of the Americas Credit Department. This position provides administrative support to the Credit Team staff.
Responsibilities
1.) Administration of Credit Application Workflow
Receiving credit application materials via email, internal system or direct physical deliveries from account officers.
To create “Check Sheet for Credit Application” and timely delivery of all the documents to Credit Team staffs.
To input key information and data regarding the transactions into “Anken Kanri System”.
To confirm and adjust Anken Kanri System information on monthly basis upon necessity.
2.) Administration of Credit Rating Application
Receiving rating application materials and its record keeping by creating rating application file.
To create “Check Sheet for Rating Application” and timely deliver all the related docs to Credit Team staffs.
To input key information and data into Excel.
To track due date of credit rating and prepare extension report, if necessary.
3.) Document Library Management
File maintenance and management of various physical and electronic files including but not limited to credit applications, rating applications.
Upon request of management, Library management of various internal documents including manuals, policy memos, official notices, etc. Those documents include those produced by ACD, but also those issued by Head Office.
4.) Preparation of Report and Date Support for Senior Managements in US and Head Office
To create the monthly transaction report to track transactions number with qualitative analysis
To create various administrative report to control quality of credit team work
Data collection support upon request of management
5.) Credit Planning and Administrative Assistant Work and Project Coordination Support
Support with senior management to perform a variety of planning works in the department including designing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the management framework and the operational flows of deal sanctioning and credit monitoring.
Initiate necessary improvements of the detailed functions of information systems used in the rating and the deal sanctioning process in ACD.
Cooperate with related departments to respond to a variety of requirements from the Japanese and the U.S. regulatory authorities with regard to overall Mizuho Americas’ credit assets.
Maintain, revise and newly develop the internal credit related policies and operating procedures across Mizuho U.S. operations in collaboration with Risk Management Group.
6.) Other administrative support task
Upon request of manager/supervisor, to create certain administrative documents.
Upon request of manager/supervisor, administrative supports in relation to self-assessment, close watch customers, etc.
To support temporary staff, when they need guidance regarding various application related procedures. Communication with other departments, when necessary.
Qualifications
Sufficient language skill in English. (Bilingual English and Japanese is a plus)
Proficient PC related skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Capacity to understand job flow and basic document processing procedure.
1 to 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Other requirements
