Senior Field Sales Trainer - Surgical

40 hours per week - Virtual Work from Home / Travel


The Senior Field Sales Trainer - Surgical is responsible for facilitating learning in product knowledge and/or sales skills for all US Distributors and their sales staff, internal clients and healthcare professionals.

Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal skills, remote people leadership experience and determination to provide the best possible experience to internal and external customers of Bioventus. What you'll be doing


  • Responsible for execution of the training needs of the Bioventus Surgical sales organization to ensure the company meets and/or exceeds overall key performance indicators including sales revenue, growth objectives, gross profit, etc.

  • Implements training tactics to support the company's sales and marketing goals

  • Conducts internal and external training sessions including but not limited: New and existing Distributor training; Surgical Sales Team and other colleagues; Training at National and Regional meetings; New Hire Training; and any Advanced and on-going sales training

  • Enhances Distributor partners product and technical knowledge to penetrate their respective markets, and regularly educates Distributors on new product releases in collaboration with the marketing team

  • Provide input on development of training materials and collateral, and collaborates with outside vendors and suppliers to supplement the learning process

  • Improves overall sales effectiveness / capacity through technology and process improvement / optimization / efficiency

  • Collaborates with Sales and Marketing departments to ensure training plans achieve the product market and sales objectives

  • Evaluates participant performance during training and/or field rides and provides feedback, making recommendations for improvement

  • Attends conferences and workshops to enhance learning and skills

  • Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.

  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the table


  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Minimum 8 years successful training or technical representative experience in Medical Device, Biotech, Clinical or equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Strong analytical capability with the aptitude to deal with profitability and problem solving

  • Excellent oral and presentation skills

  • Training experience to include program development

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and training platforms
