Here, you will be a vital contributor to our inspiring, bold mission. As a Scientist/Senior Scientist, CTx Novel Technologies working on the Cell Therapy Innovation team, you will be empowered to build a world-class cell therapy team.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

This position will play an important role in bringing in novel cell therapy technologies, as well as analytical methods for developing cellular therapy products. Independently plans and executes process and assay development, characterization, and qualification studies. Prepares study protocols, reports, technology transfer documentation, and regulatory documents for clinical trials. This work will require expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, gene editing, and bioprocessing. This opening is an opportunity to be part of an excellent team focused on solving the challenges of targeting solid tumors with chimeric antigen receptor cell products.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Understands project timelines and deliverables and plans/coordinates project work accordingly with departmental, functional and external stakeholders

Apply recent development in cell therapy-related novel technologies to design and create the next generation of cell therapy platforms

Work closely with senior team leaders as well as cross-functional teams and provide scientific and technical recommendations.

Serves as a technical resource for junior staff and leverages expertise in laboratory technology as a functional resource/trainer.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLS:

Education and Experience:

Required:


  • Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Oncology or Immunology (Immuno-oncology background is highly preferred)


  • Previous experience with cell processing and/or gene editing and delivery strategy for cell product


  • Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team environment


  • Ability to work independently and convey technical information clearly and thoroughly.


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Extensive hands-on experience with cell culture (T, NK, or cancer cell, et.al) and molecular biology technologies.


  • Cell product characterization knowledge - familiar with in vitro/in vivo assays development and optimization to screen and assess CAR-T/NK cell function.


  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Able to troubleshoot critical issues or problems, and determine causes and possible solutions


  • Teamwork - Ability to work well in a highly cross-functional team environment and across global line functions.


  • Communication Skills - Able to expresses one’s self clearly and concisely within the team; documents issues and/or concerns concisely with colleagues; adjust communication style as appropriate for the audience; timely and effectively communicates issues to supervisor; technical writing skills to support the authorship of internal technical documents


  • Resource Management - Ability to manage internal and external resources


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May require approximately 5-10% travel
