The Life Science Systems Principal Engineer transfers real-world drug commercialization and manufacturing experience to drive application and product development for the Business Unit. The candidate is responsible for driving key market segments, major sales channels and new product development projects. This position drives the BU's top market segments; including growth objectives, product development projects and life cycle strategies.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT

Systems Road Map (what do we have / what do we need)
* Process Based (Upstream /Downstream / Continuous Manufacturing)
o Current Value Propositions - Strategic Value Assessment
o Gaps and Product Development Needs
* Product life cycle analysis and SBD / PVI planning (7)
* New Product Specification, Statistical Validation Planning and assist with NPI (6)
* Value pricing waterfalls and competitor data tracking management
* Drive Internal and External R&D to differentiate Parker technology (5)

Market Road Map (where are our best opportunities to win)
* Life Science Market research and segmentation
* Assist in Life Science Molecule tracking by type, manufacturing strategy and coordinate Parker value propositions
* Market share and growth objectives
* Maintains and takes steps to protect company intellectual property. (4)

MARKETING AND SALES
* Present Automation First strategy and it's lean influence on drug manufacturing at industry symposiums (4/8)
* Work with Market Services Manager to review and develop tools / collateral to improve commercialization process
* Development of training collateral and partnerships to develop life science foundation across business
* Develop strategic partnerships with customers, technology developers and service providers
* Support Customers technically and commercially as needed

Bachelor degree (BS) (or Professional Engineer (PE) certificate) in engineering or a science technical discipline; Masters degree (MS) preferred.

* Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10-12 years of related experience in the Life Science Market.

* Comprehensive, advanced knowledge of product or domain engineering theories (e.g. mechanical, electronic, packaging, etc.), principles, industry practices, concepts, techniques, government regulations, and policies.

* Demonstrated ability to research, develop, and integrate new technologies.

* Ability to communicate and influence varied audiences to gain support or resolve issues. Makes effective presentations on complex topics to top management, customers, and/or other key stakeholders.

* Ability to apply and integrate knowledge of other related engineering areas or experts to own area of expertise.

* Proficient with software and specialized data analysis, and engineering design tools.

* Ability to establish and track performance to goals and objectives to complete complex or major projects and provide direction to the team at project milestones.

* Ability to respond to significant inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or other internal teams.
