Summary

This role is responsible for development and management of National Strategic Accounts as well as the execution and management of National & Government contracts throughout their membership organizations or affiliated members.  Works in coordination with the VP and the Healthcare Sales Directors, National Strategic Accounts, service, and marketing management and staff to develop and coordinate appropriate strategies for all product & software areas.  The objective is to create, implement, and manage initiatives related to corporate annual growth goals by increasing the business in National & Government business areas within the USA and Caribbean. This position will be focused on selling to the Proton Industry. 

Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and lead National & Government Accounts activities as they relate to the sales, service, or marketing of Elekta products Healthcare Sales Directors, National & Government, service, and marketing management.

  • Directly responsible for the strategic process including lead generation, prospect profiling, presentations, proposals, contract negotiations, execution and maintenance of National Strategic Accounts contracts.

  • Develops and maintains professional working relationships with Elekta administration, field sales, field service, finance, marketing, and technical services.

  • Profiles and reviews characteristics of prospective or existing National Strategic Accounts customers to determine the opportunity and value that the relationship will bring to Elekta and to develop sales and value added programs based on the total value proposition.

  • Provides on-going updates to established accounts with new products, services and developments to keep information current and to increase customer knowledge and market penetration.

  • Develops sales and marketing strategies utilizing internal Elekta resources and resources available through the contracted customers to increase contract awareness, compliance, and effectiveness.

  • Maintains data on contracted National Strategic Accounts and their members specific to contract terms and conditions, membership lists, contacts, and sales activities.  This data shall be the property of the company and shall be regarded as “Company Confidential” records.

  • Analyze sales and service records and trends in relation to objectives and competitive activities. Take or recommend necessary corrective action to management.

  • As it relates to National Strategic Accounts, coordinate with the sales and service organizations to ensure all orders obtained meet the company order processing and booking conditions.

  • Ensure that the CLM database is updated with correct account information regarding all potential/active National Strategic Accounts.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by VP and other senior management.

  • Incorporate Elekta Values into all department functions and responsibilities.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of an Bachelor’s degree and eight years of progressive advancement and success in national account or sales management within the medical industry.

  • Applicant must have 3 years sales experience selling to and in Proton Therapy Vertical as well as general radiation therapy, SRS and SBRT.

  • Demonstrated success in strategic selling and negotiation.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and ability to determine solutions for customer (consultative sales approach).

  • Demonstrated initiative (self-starter) and leadership/organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Flexible with a “win-win” approach to sales in a variety of Customer Market Segments

  • Must be able to interface with Executives and all levels of management and fully understand the financial aspects of the selling process.

  • Must be able to travel as needed for the business both domestically and internationally at least 70% of the time.
