Your Responsibilities

As a Category Lead for John Deere Energy Supply and Sustainability located in Moline, IL., or a John Deere U.S. facility/site, you will leverage supply management programs and processes to lead negotiations and manage relationships with utilities and energy suppliers.

• Achieve value improvement in cost and environmental footprint of our operations, supporting cost reduction and achievement of the company's energy supply and supplier sustainability goals
• Execute sustainability strategies in operations and supply base
• Work cross-functionally with corporate and unit contacts in engineering, environment, and operations

This position may be located in Moline, IL or a John Deere US facility/siteper the hiring manager's discretion.This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

This position is eligible for a partial telework arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

What Skills You Need

• 3 or more years of experience supply management, engineering, business work history
• 3 or more years of experience success in team environment
• 1 or more years of experience in supply management systems and processes, or history of work with supply management
• 3 or more years of experience analysis and data-driven decisions
• 3 or more years of experience and strength with standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience in energy procurement and utilities or sustainability
• Experience in negotiation, interpersonal communications, change management, and conflict resolution skills
• Cross-functional experience in multiple disciplines such as supply management, engineering, or operations
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communications skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Engineering/Technology, Business/Management, or similar discipline
