Position Description:

Plastipak is seeking a leadership-ready, benefits team player. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your analytical mindset, strong communication delivery, and benefits expertise into one role. In this role, you will drive employee benefits, health, and wellness efforts with an impact that reaches across all of our manufacturing locations within North America.

Responsibilities:


  • Analyze data to identify high cost areas and trends that affect costs to employees and the company.

  • Partner with the health plan carriers, third-party administrators, and healthcare consultants to continuously improve existing health-related programs.

  • Develop and implement wellness and benefits efforts, as well as coordinate/support initiatives at the manufacturing site locations.

  • Lead the development of education programs for employees which teaches them about their benefits plans and coordinate wellness opportunities with vendors.

  • Drive Company wellness initiatives by working directly with internal groups to strengthen employee participation.

  • Conduct on-site training with employees in the use of tools to investigate and understand their own claim situations and potential cost of care while tracking usage/progress.

  • Present insights to a range of different audiences throughout the company.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, corporate wellness, business administration, or public health administration.

  • Five to seven years of benefits and/or human resources experience.  3-5 years with a Master’s degree.

  • Travel up to 10%.

  • Strong background in employee wellness and understanding of benefits administration, including comprehension of how providers bill and network discounts.

  • Manufacturing industry experience or management of benefits for a multi-location company preferred.

  • Experienced and comfortable with presenting to large groups and different audiences/varying levels.

  • Strong and effective communication (written and verbal). 

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Self-motivated, driven, and team oriented.
