Inmar’s media operations team executes, manages, and optimizes all paid digital distribution on behalf of our clients and corporate teams, while continuously building automations and processes to achieve scale and efficiencies in cost and time. We also advise and partner with product groups to enhance, refine, and create ad product offerings for our clients.
Job Description
The Ad Strategist handles ad campaigns from beginning to end, and well as plays a key role in improving day-to-day operations and processes. The Ad Strategist assembles strategic insights and stays on top of emerging trends and changes in the digital landscape in order to recommend tactics to internal teams. It is important for the ad strategist to effectively communicate & educate interdepartmentally, as they are the point of contact for client services and sales regarding paid performance.


From organizing assets to writing engaging copy to daily optimization, the Ad Strategist is responsible for meeting all client deliverables for paid campaigns. S/he should be comfortable handling projects from start to finish, as well as presenting campaign results to a group. Duties will include the planning, creation, and management of client ad campaigns. Strong communication skills and an attention to detail are required as he/she works closely with Client Services teams to ensure deliverables are met.

Operational / Strategic Details:

  • Creates and executes paid media programs in conjunction with relevant teams

  • Recommends paid media tactics to sales teams for campaign proposals

  • Develops creative ad elements and writes ad copy

  • Monitor and optimize live ads to ensure efficient and complete campaign delivery

  • Delivers final paid media reporting metrics for campaign post analyses

  • Answers questions related to campaign delivery, creative elements, or media performance for internal teams

  • Assists with new ad product testing

  • Provides strategic ideas to Manager, Media Ops regarding possible tests or process improvements

  • Installs relevant campaign and/or client tracking via pixel implementation


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or an analytical or quantitative discipline

  • Prior experience at an advertising or media agency is preferred

  • Knowledge of major ad platforms, including Facebook Ads Manager and Google AdWords

  • Knowledge of social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, etc.

  • Familiar with analytics and tracking tools, such as Excel, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager

  • Understanding of digital campaign metrics such as conversions, pacing, impressions, CPA, Site views, CTR, viewability etc

  • Attention to detail: Able to pay close attention to small campaign details that may be detrimental if missed. Focusing on every piece of a campaign or process not just the whole

  • Written Communication: Provides written client support to internal teams by means of email and Microsoft Office documents

  • Verbal Communication: Provides client support via phone and/or in-person to internal teams

  • Analytical Thinking:  Has the ability to ‘think outside the box’ and come up with creative solutions for campaign optimizations and issues

  • Process Oriented: Able to handle a number of processes which need to be followed closely in order to maintain quality, manage a queue of tasks and respond to them promptly and accurately.

  • Time Management: Able to balance several projects at a time


  • Must have experience in digital ad creation and have thorough knowledge of major social ad plaatforms.

  • Native writing skills in the language of social media, with, at the very least, active Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts. A busy, interesting blog would impress us.


  • Four-year college degree

  • Preferably degree in business, communication fields, or advertising p/r


  • Understanding of traditional and interactive media planning elements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office solutions

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Ability to simplify and streamline complex processes

  • Ability to think critically and problem solve for clients
