Job Description:

Position Summary:

As an Analyst in the Promotion Analytics team at Inmar, you will work with marketers at leading consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies to optimize the effectiveness of their brands’ consumer promotion programs and tactics.  You will acquire insights through in-depth analysis of marketing data and shopper data from various sources, both internal and external.  Working on a client team, you will apply your own experience in the CPG space to recommend consumer promotion strategies and tactics that deliver measurable performance improvement.  Over time, your clients will view you as a solutions expert who is an extension of their team.
 

Primary Accountabilities:

Analytical (25%)


  • Analyze and interpret data and present it to others (clients and internal) in a way that is digestible and actionable


  • Continually identify new and innovative ways to leverage data to address client marketing challenges and opportunities, as well as industry and shopper insights
     


Operational (25%)


  • Effectively manage (through direct contact with client) client deliverables, inquiries, requests, and daily interactions. Engagement elements can include promotion planning, event optimization and campaign execution.


  • Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
     


Communication (20%)

  • Leverage strong communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal - to communicate responses to client inquiries, provide actionable insights & recommendations, and present deliverables.
     

Influence (20%)

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and effectively manage client engagement with assigned client base resulting in positive client feedback, referrals and client contract renewals.
     

 Project Management (5%)

  • Work to create and effectively manage project plans to meet deadlines and deliverables for assigned clients.
     

Accountability (5%)

  • Empower assigned client team members to take responsibility of project tasks and goals.  Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
     

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred


  • Client facing presentation experience is preferred


  • 3-5 years of experience working in CPG in consumer promotions, brand management or shopper marketing.  


  • Experience with industry-standard visualization tools, including Tableau


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)


  • Basic knowledge and understanding of advanced SQL is required and R is preferred


  • Basic understanding of html and javascript is preferred 


  • Ability to communicate, cultivate relationships, and work with various external & internal partners Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into implications and recommendations
