Position Program Manager, Educational Leadership Program (EDLD)
Primary Responsibility Manage the Education Leadership program offices (Ed.S., M.Ed., and the Administrative Licensure Program) to ensure that everyday operations are run effectively and efficiently for faculty, staff, and students. In all assigned programs, provide general administrative support for students and faculty, maintain records, coordinate and manage events, maintain licensure application processes, and other possible duties as assigned to support the program.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities








Description of Tasks Performed
STUDENT NEEDS
Provide customer service to potential and current students. Answer questions and direct student inquiries to the appropriate office/person. Provide necessary information regarding class registration per cohort group (course codes, section number, and cohort location) per semester, assist with registration process where needed, and work to ensure that all students are registered at the start of each term. Support students in all facets of the graduate education system through the entire enrollment, registration, and gradation process. Ensure that the appropriate tuition rate has been applied per semester in the student management system. Collaborate with admissions and other program assistants to ensure students are well served and programs run smoothly. Act as a liaison between the staff, faculty, Directors, Dean, or other administrative offices and the students. Compile official transcripts and ILL licensure applications for College of Education signatures and to send to the Tennessee Department of Education via TN Compass for graduates.

PROGRAM NEEDS
Track all courses created each semester to ensure appropriate sections are created and adequate student enrollment is assigned to each section. Track all candidates through the program to ensure each candidate has completed the necessary coursework, leadership portfolio, and the ILL license application. Problem solve with other departments on campus to support students through the enrollment, registration, and graduation process. Submit transcripts and license applications on TN Compass. Track student mentor placements and stipend payments for program mentors. Support coordination of events related to program delivery.

FACULTY AND COURSE NEEDS
Order and maintain stock of office supplies and textbooks for faculty. Provide clerical support such as making copies and assisting with technical needs for classes. Coordinate space and equipment needs for classes. Sort and distribute mail. Manage online course schedules using the student management system. Coordinate meetings, appointments, interviews, etc. for faculty.

DATA MANAGEMENT
Prepare written correspondence and reports as needed. Create and maintain student files. Assist with compilation, organization and analysis of data. Update and maintain various databases (Access student database, Excel student database, textbook database, Enrollment Tracker, Enrollment Projection system, Google Apps) and manage information tracking for SACS Continuous Improvement Plan and be able to produce defined reports as needed (CIPdata).

BUSINESS PROCESSES
Process employee reimbursement requests where applicable (travel, supplies, etc.), make deposits, compiling Faculty Load and Compensation reports to send to the COE Executive Assistant throughout the course of the year, compile mentor pay reports.

EVENT MANAGEMENT
Coordinate and implement events for programs which include, but is not limited to the following: Information sessions for potential applicants (coordinate with COE Outreach and Enrollment), mentor dinners for ORG courses, seminars, mentor meetings, and graduation functions.
Event coordinating includes budgeting, establishing dates and times for each event, selecting and reserving the appropriate (or alternate) event site/room, coordinating with Lipscomb Events for setup, ETS for technical support, and Sodexo or any other outside vendor for catering, creating and printing agendas, welcome packets, nametags, or other necessary items pertaining to each event. Planning and managing any and all needs for the execution of the event and coordinating the execution of all graduation events and activities for education leadership students.

ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
Respond to the needs of the COE Outreach and Enrollment office on recruitment initiatives. Organize and manage the admissions selection process for the EDLD program. Compile and send each accepted student a welcome packet with pertinent information on beginning the M.Ed. program, communicate with each candidate prior to enrollment and work to provide a high level of service to enrolled students as a primary retention objective.
