Process Engineer

Director, Operations

POSITION SUMMARY

Execute processing and packaging improvements while interfacing with department leaders and technicians to deliver effective initiatives

KEY RESPONSIBITIES


  • Develop technical mastery of the core production processes.

  • Execute processing improvements while interfacing with department leaders and technicians to deliver effective initiatives including:

  • Learn all key safety elements related to plant operations

  • Learn inputs, outputs, and transformations of the process.

  • Learn how each basic component operates and its application in the process.

  • Learn quality parameters/specifications and how to measure quality .Issues running or making materials at suppliers

  • Complete new leader technical qualification

  • Identify key process parameters and their impact on the process.

  • Learn process parameters (pressure, flow, temperature, speed/rate, timing, of components

  • Learn capacities and constraints

  • Understand and implement HPO concepts Team dynamics including Supply Chain Optimization.

  • Lead initiative/capital project

  • Lead the CQV (Commissioning/Qualification/Verification) process

  • Lead process/material improvement projects, which could include managing material changes, qualifying alternate materials, delivering material cost savings or participating in new product launches

  • Stabilize core production process areas to deliver critical results.

  • Problem solving and improvement work will involve the following activities:

  • Collecting and analyzing data from suppliers, plant operations, customers, and consumers

  • Designing and executing experiments, at both supplier sites and in plant operations

  • Validating improvements/corrective actions will deliver the desired benefits

  • Implementing the improvements/corrective actions in the supply chain

  • Partner with R&D, TSO, Plant Operations and Marketing in recommendations on final package design for new initiatives

  • Managing specifications and changes with associated testing or project work.

  • Written reports on testing, validations and problem solving measures.

  • Daily Management Systems (DMS) - demonstrated ability to leverage daily management approach to own and manage a system to sustain delivery of expected results over time

  • Statistical lot quality analysis - demonstrated ability to develop a sampling plan, sample, analyze and draw statistically based conclusions

  • Initiative and follow thru - demonstrated ability to receive given basic coaching/direction and execute work assigned in an accurate and timely manner

  • Time management/prioritization - demonstrated ability to manage several tasks at a time thru to completion and meet the needs of multiple customers

  • Communication skills - proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
