Job Description

The Inventory Control Analyst will be based in Memphis, Tennessee. Working on daily inventory activities including cycle counting, data collection, implementing and reviewing processes to maintain inventory security and integrity to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum value to the company. Analyzes and disposes of excess inventory and makes recommendations for reducing and controlling inventory

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:


  • Identify root cause integrity discrepancies in the warehouse/stores

  • Retrieves and analyzes information from the MRP system.

  • Liaise with other departments and senior department staff to highlight errors and implement improvements as required.

  • Carry out direct cycle count activities on site and coordinate count staff to ensure count schedules are maintained.

  • Assist in development of process improvements on site in relation to inventory related process steps and support implementation.

  • Oversee/perform regular internal audits and external audit preparation in accordance to company best practices and external required standards

  • Produce Statistical Management Information and KPI’s measuring Inventory performance and service levels provided to each customer.

  • Monitor procedural compliance; support implementation of new procedures in conjunction with management and operations.

  • Liaise with internal and external customers and deal with requests and issues.

  • Analyzes excess inventory by customer and makes recommendations for reducing excess and obsolete material including coordination of movement of excess material back to the customer

  • Negotiates sales price and coordinates the sale of excess material.

  • Provide escalation point to Inventory management in relation to unresolved issues.

  • Maintains metrics in response to site or corporate requirements and produce reports as needed

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):


  • 3 years of related experience in a similar position

  • 2 years of experience in Warehousing

  • Advanced Excel skill level

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Inventory Control

  • Cycle count analysis

  • Previous customer service experience

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:


  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

  • Bachelor degree in related field

  • WMS - Warehouse Management System experience

  • ERP System: SAP / ORACLE
