Responsible for preparing and maintaining dishes according to approved recipes and standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and all kitchen equipment.
Prepares dishes in an efficient manner in accordance to recipes and standards.
Prepare food items while adhering to health department regulations.
Understand and adhere to Grand Victoria Casino and Food and Beverage standards, policies and procedures.
Confer with food preparation personnel to plan menus and related activities.
Utilize the proper preparation method for all food orders.
Maintain the responsibility for all cleanliness, safety and sanitation for assigned area.
Ensure food quality is at the highest standard, cooked and delivered on time.
Utilize the "FIFO" method for all items used in the area.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
2+ years of culinary experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to read, write and speak in English; ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written, oral or diagram instructions
Team oriented; enjoys working with and assisting/servicing people.
Working knowledge of carving and all kitchen equipment.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Frequent pushing, pulling, bending and lifting.
Work environment may include variable temperature, lighting and noise levels.
