If you are a Technical Support Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Boulder, Colorado location, you will provide advanced technical and application support of up to four measurement technologies, including Coriolis Flow, Density/Viscosity, Magnetic and Vortex Flow instruments.
 
AS AN INSTRUMENT SUPPORT ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 


  • Provide in-depth, advanced instrument & application troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment, ensuring delivery of complete and accurate technical solutions to improve and/or solve complex measurement/product performance issues. 

  • Offer alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of retaining customers’ and clients’ business. Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of one’s actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships. 

  • Actively develop product quality through engagement in the continuous improvement process and by providing product improvement suggestions.

  • Support product development as a departmental lead in Stage Gate and Sustaining Engineering processes. Act as a liaison for the customer; document customer feedback and communicate customer requirements related to new products and support of products.  

  • Contribute to development and delivery of internal and external technical training.
WHO YOU ARE:
You have strong interpersonal skills and effectivelly communicate in a fast-paced environment with customers who have instrument challenges. You have advanced knowledge of PC software installation and software user testing. You have an understanding of proper instrument troubleshooting techniques including hardware, software, and applications preferably in a plant control system environment. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • Minimum two years of technical instrumentation, application customer support with precsion flow instrumentation, preferably with process control systems

  • Advanced skill level in MS Office Suite

  • Internal candidates must have successfully passed all assigned training modules available at the time of application 

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States 
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Experience in instrument field service or sales

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and the use of functional test equipment

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary range for this role is $58,600 - $89,700 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
