Job Description:

Logistics Lead

This a leadership role that is responsible for leading a team of Logistics Specialists (Drivers/Material Handlers) in the warehouse environment as well as working alongside them.

This role supports (and reports to) the Assistant Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Manager,  in supporting the open/close of the TLC (key holder) and various operations throughout the day.

The Logistics Lead is responsible for all of the material handling and delivery driver duties as our Logistics Specialists, as well as performing a variety of administrative tasks.

The Logistics Leads are the best example of what our Logistics Specialists can be, capable of performing at a high level, any task assigned to a Logistic Specialist.

They are also able to effectively and efficiently train/retrain their Logistic Specialist teams in best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment

  • Assist in the training of warehouse personnel

  • Assist with the planning of daily workload scheduling

  • Manage the inbound/outbound flow of products

  • Responsible for the upkeep of facility, equipment, etc.

  • Maintain compliance with policies and procedures

  • Operation of order picker, pallet jack, and other equipment, as necessary

  • Verify accuracy (packing, weighing, counting, marking) of customer orders

  • Load/Unload, check and tally tires as come into the facility

  • Select and palletize orders and place in assigned staging area

  • Assists with shipping and receiving on the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning software)

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:



    • 2-4 years of related warehousing experience, with a heavy focus on operations

    • Demonstrated work history of success, in day-to-way warehouse operations

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

    • Valid driver’s license
